And the winner of the draw is……

IMG_4835 I have odd religious beliefs. Although I am certainly agnostic bordering on atheistic when it comes to God, I do find myself believing in /paying close attention to other ‘supernatural’ occurrences. For example, I am a strong believer in luck, bad luck, the evil eye, ghosts (under certain circumstances), and fate. How I reconcile this belief with my lack of faith in the afterlife or in a higher divine power is unknown to me… : ) that’s just the way I’ve always been. Sometimes I think I would have made a good animist—I totally think the world is filled with different life-forces that inhabit it and exert their influence over us humans…

I am getting all mystical right now because I think FATE, for some odd reason, decided the winner of this draw for samples of rosy fragrances. Here’s what happened. I typed out all entrants’ names, and then cut each out on a little strip. At this point, one fell out of my hands—Fox and Squirrel. I wondered if that meant that I should consider the winner chosen, but I decided to be fair and do it the right way. SO I got a bowl and put all the names inside, closed my eyes, and drew……Fox and Squirrel again!! SO, F&S, the gods seem to have some strong opinion on this trifling matter! The samples are yours, and I will send them out posthaste as soon as you give me your address via email. I hope you like them, since you must have them---it is your destiny, apparently! LOL.

  2. Wow, a dream, huh? This is getting weird indeed! Who knew a little prize drawing could have so much supernatural force swarming around it?!? Wild! Thank you for your kind comments, and I will strive to remain worthy of being part of your routine!

  3. You call your religious beliefs "odd", but are they really? Probably more normal than you think, at least in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!
    Have a good weekend,

  4. you're right, Michael, they (my beliefs) are probably most natural and anthropologically consonant. Sometimes I feel like there may be some dissonance between a belief in things like ghosts and 'nature spirits' and a lack of belief in God, but most of the time, it doesn't bother me!

Here's wishing you a great weekend as well!
